Galileo

0 min read
As soon as I returned to Casper College there were auditions for Galileo by Bertolt Brecht. I was cast as Cardinal Barberini, who throught the course of the play which covers much of Galileo's life as told by Brecht, becomes Pope Urban VIII. Showtimes get a bit complex so listen carefully. Galileo opens February 28th and runs until March 1st. Then runs from March 4 and closes on March 8th. There is no performance on March 6th because the humanities festival takes place on the same stage on that date.

Inspecting Carol was a great success, with several nearly sold out shows. Some of the things said about this play were: "It was like watching Monty Python on stage."; "That was one of the funniest things I've ever seen."; "I haven't laughed so hard since the first season of Saturday Night Live." It was hilarious through and through. I highly enjoyed working with this group and look forward to the next play next semester. However i seem to be getting sick which took away all of my energy for the closing performance, but it went well anyhow.

I am currently working on a play at Casper College titled Inspecting Carol. It is a comedy about an acting company trying to put on their annual production of the Dickens classic A Christmas Carol. Nothing goes right for this production and they desperately need this production to go well for an N.E.A. grant that will get them through the next season, thus following the rule of the harder one tries the harder one fails. Hilarity ensues, naturally. As far as the progress of the show, my director has instructed us to only say, "It's coming along." Come see it! December 6-8 and 11-15.
